From Novice to Expert
Novice scholars need to search by topic -- they are not yet aware of who's in the community. During this semester, you'll be transitioning to the position of expert with the assistance of some new routes and tools. First, you need to be aware of references in what you are reading. Which names come up frequently? What sources are cited on a regular basis? How can you find out more about the people and the works? Follow the tabs and we'll move through the process...

Welcome!
One these pages you will find many resources which will be useful to you for your senior semiar in Womens Studies. The research you will be doing here is not straight-forward topic-based work, but instead encourages you to delve into the community of scholars in Womens Studies, identify the leading voices and debates, and immerse yourself in the webs of the community. It's exciting stuff! New tools, too. Google Scholar labels its front page as the opportunity to "stand on the shoulders of giants." Professor LeBlanc and I decided we'd rephrase it:
Learning to Stand on the Shoulders of Amazons!
