Catalyst
Catalyst is a great place to start looking for background information. Use Catalyst's filtering menu (along the left of your search results) to make the most of your search. You can mix and match all of the filters to customize your search results.
Use the Material Type filter to limit the kind of resource you want -- for example, you might only want to see newspaper articles.
Use the Publication Date filter to find materials from a particular date range -- for example, maybe you only want the last ten years of data. Make sure to click "refine" to tell Catalyst to run the filter
Always check the list of Subjects. This will help you find results that not only include your initial search term, but also the subject term you select. The number in parentheses indicates how many results include that term. The subjects in the list will vary depending on your initial search term; this list is full of biology terms because the initial search term was "GMO foods."
