Composer Societies and Trusts
Composer Societies, which promote the study of a composer’s life and works, are largely restricted to 19th- and 20th-century composers. The quality of information and resources varies from society to society. Composer’s Trusts are created to handle income from a composer’s copyrights, performing rights, music rental fees, etc. These organizations often provide funding for performances and research.
