Adding a Spreadsheet to an ArcGIS Map
If the data needs to be updated in the spreadsheet, the data will have to be re-uploaded to ArcGIS Online to see the changes.
Tips for finding Lat/Long coordinates:
- Google Search! Typing in: " [Place name] latitude and longitude"
- This is a really quick way to find lat/long coordinates - keep in mind that if the numbers are West or South, they will need a negative in front of the number.
- Get Lat Long from Address Converter
- Stephen P. Morse Converting Address to/from Latitude/Longitude in One Step
ArcGIS can also find locations by place name, but the locations will be more accurate with lat/long. Addresses will also work to place points on the map.
I have mapping questions!
