  • Friday: 9am - 5pm

Are you on a Mac and receiving a "cannot be opened because developer cannot be verified" or having any trouble opening the program? It is most likely do to Mac security settings! See this article for how to fix the problem.

Create a "Free Teacher Account" on Thinglink

In order to have full sharing and visibility functions, you must create your account as a "free teacher account". Follow these steps to create the correct account in Thinglink.

Make sure to follow the instructions carefully! If you accidentally create a general public account (without sharing and public visibility settings) there is no way to copy a project to a new account.

Create a "walking" effect

In order to simulate the walking tour feel in the project - after adding your photos to the tour in Thinglink, make sure you can travel between all of the photos.

For example:

  • If you add 3 photos - you should be able to travel from Photo 1 > Photo 2 > Photo 3 and then Photo 3 > Photo 2 > Photo 1.
  • There is a home button on the photos so you'll always be able to return to the starting point. But make sure you can easily get to all of the photos!

Project Tips

  • Because of how Thinglink works, it won't allow you to travel between images and annotate them. You'll have to annotate separate images and then knit them together! You can either create the walking tour portion first and then annotate individual images, or annotate individual images and then create the walking tour.
  • Create a naming scheme for the photos! Occasional, the panoramas in Street View can look very similar. Naming them "Photo Name 1", "Photo Name 2", etc can help keep track of the order.
