Tips for working with ArcGIS StoryMaps & ArcGIS Online:

• When accessing ArcGIS Online, make sure that the website says "stolaf" somewhere in the URL (https://stolaf.maps.arcgis.com) before starting a project. There should be a St. Olaf banner after logging in.
• StoryMaps will autosave throughout the project, but try to avoid having the project open in multiple tabs. It could create a version conflict.
• Safari will occasionally return error messages when logging in or accessing previously created projects - just switch to Chrome and this will fix it!

There are not many StoryMaps that focus on Latin American Studies - so I included a variety of examples to specifical showcase different tools! If you have any questions about how to set these up, contact Sara (sara@stolaf.edu) to set up an appointment.

For grading purposes, make sure to share your project to the class group and update the visibility settings. The project must be shared as either:

• Organization Only - only those with a St. Olaf ArcGIS Online account can view the project
• Public - If you want to share the project with anyone outside the organization, but don't want it to be searchable, use the Public Unlisted settings. Only those with the link will be able to view the project.
