Access to ArcGIS Software
To access ArcGIS Online or use ArcGIS Pro Desktop - send in a request to have your account activated by contacting the IT Helpdesk. If you already have an ArcGIS account, you can log in using these steps.
It is recommended to use Chrome when accessing ArcGIS through a browser. Safari will frequently cause error messages on log-in or accessing StoryMap projects.
- ArcGIS Online and StoryMap Tutorial Video PlaylistA variety of tutorials on how to make a StoryMap project, ArcGIS Online tools, and some ArcGIS Pro.

- Do not log in by clicking on the Google button
StoryMap and ArcGIS Online Resources
There could be a variety of different ways the tools and formatting can be setup in ArcGIS Online and StoryMap - here are some resources on how to get started thinking about your project. Here are some key first steps to think about:
- How much data do you think you might want to map?
- 5 points, 50 points, polygons, etc
- Do you need to be able to upload premade data?
- Does the data need a certain amount of animation or interactivity? (ex. animated maps)
- How do you want users to read your project?
- Do you need to be able to display a lot of media with your maps?
- Lots of pictures, videos, audio
- Do you need to be able to embed content?
- StoryMap ResourcesHere are some general resources to start building a StoryMap project
