Cite Visual Media
Photographs you took:
Follow this guidance from the MLA Style Center to cite photographs you took yourself:
To cite a photograph in a personal collection, follow the MLA format template. List the author of the photograph, if known. Then provide a description of the photograph in place of a title. List the date the photograph was taken, if known. In the optional-element slot at the end of the entry, indicate that the photograph is in a personal collection:
Fanatic, Jane. Photograph of Jane Austen’s House Museum. 2 Sept. 2017. Author’s personal collection.
Other visual media:
The guides linked below provide numerous examples of how to cite images, videos, and other visual media.

Create QR Codes
To save room on your poster, you can create a QR code that links readers to your works cited list, rather than including the whole list of citations on the poster itself. Here's one way to create that QR code:
- Open Google Chrome
- Go to the page you want to share
- Click on the three dots icon in the upper right corner to open the Chrome menu, then click "Cast, save, and share"
- Under the "Share" heading, click "Create QR code"
- Copy or download the QR code that is generated to add it to your poster
