If you have a particular composer, performer, luthier, or other topic in mind, it's always a good idea to search first in Catalyst. We have purchased many recent publications as eBooks, so you won't see them physically in the stacks!
That said, if you are browsing the stacks for materials, here are some handy call number ranges.

- ML410 -- Biographies of individual composers
- ML418 -- Biographies of individual stringed instrument players
- ML421 -- Biographies of ensembles (bands, orchestras, string quartets, etc.)
- ML424 -- Biographies of individual instrument builders
