Finished with your project? Publishing and Sharing
Share your project to the class group for grading! Click on the Group tab and look for:
Biology/Environmental Studies 226, Spring 2025: Conservation Biology
- Set the share settings to either "organization only" or "public unlisted" --> If set to "organization only", only ArcGIS Online activated for their St. Olaf account will be able to view the project.
- If the project is private, no one will be able to access it even if it is shared to the class group
- Please Note - ArcGIS Online does NOT have simultaneous editing (like Google Docs). Everyone in the group can contribute, but only one person can access the same project at a time.
Additional Resources
- ArcGIS Living Atlas: Conservation Data Search ResultsThese results provide data on ArcGIS Living Atlas that is related to conservation efforts. This data can be local, national, or international.
- Using ArcGIS at St. OlafGoogle Site that contains guides, videos, and additional training options for ArcGIS Software (Online, Story Maps, Pro Desktop, etc.)
If you would like to use any map data resources outside of ArcGIS Living Atlas - it is possible, but please book an appointment with me to look at the data! This is just to take a look at the data to see if any extra steps are involved with making the information compatible with ArcGIS Online. Some data is compatible with the desktop platform, but required a lot of extra edits in order to be available online.
