What is a scholarly atlas?
ATLAS
A scholarly atlas is more than just a set of maps. They bring together information from many different disciplines, such as history, geography, geology, archeology, and climatology. There are helpful in getting a clearer picture of a particular place at different times throughout history. A bible atlas can help you visualize what Palestine looked like during the biblical period or it may help you track a particular character's journey in one of the biblical narratives.
