- Learn about different source types relevant to your project
- Background Info sources (Encyclopedias, Europa World Plus)
- TAP Network Member websites
- News Sources (open web, Access World News, BBC Monitoring Library)
- Books (Catalyst)
- Review strategies for evaluating sources
- Strategize how to find relevant sources for your project on the open web and through St. Olaf Library resources
- Time to research a TAP Network Member of your choice
Slide 5: Time to practice!
Use this time to practice researching the TAP Network Member you’ll be investigating for your project by using some of the resources/approaches we talked about today:
- See if your TAP Network member has a website and/or active social media accounts.
- Consider bookmarking these sites to come back to later.
- Use Access World News or BBC Monitoring Library to find news articles about your TAP Network Member
- Generate a citation and save a permalink
- See if there are any sources in Catalyst regarding the TAP Network Member
- Evaluate what kinds of sources you’re getting and how you’re getting them.
