  1. What you already know about your potential topic
  2. What you still want or need to find out about this topic
  3. What are some potential keywords you could use to look for information on this topic?

Slide 7: Now You Try!

  • Find a scholarly book related to your topic in Catalyst. Save a complete Chicago style citation for the book and indicate how you will access the book:
    • Read it online. It’s an e-book.
    • Find it on the shelf at Rolvaag.
    • Request it from Carleton.
  • Find scholarly journal articles related to your topic from a library database or Catalyst. Save Chicago style citations and PDFs of the articles. Request articles via Resource Sharing if necessary.
