Citing Patents
Patent citations look different depending on the style used (APA, MLA, IEEE, etc.). Double-check with your professor before picking a style, as certain academic disciplines prefer certain styles. See our Citation Guide for more help.
NOTE: Even if you obtain patent information from Google Patents, the US Patent and Trademark Office is still the "official source".
