What is the DiSCO?
The Digital Scholarship Center at St. Olaf (DiSCO) represents a unique partnership between IT and Library staff, St. Olaf faculty and students to promote creativity and innovative practice in higher education. The DiSCO serves as a beautiful study and meeting space in Rolvaag Memorial Library with a host of resources to foster the sustainable integration of technologies into all aspects of academic life.
Location
The DiSCO is located on the 4th floor of Rolvaag Memorial Library. From the Rolvaag lobby take the spiral staircase up one floor. The DiSCO space includes the following:
- A lab with computers containing advanced applications
- Audio / video recording rooms
- A makerspace containing 3D printers and creative supplies
- A classroom
- A sandbox
Assistance with a project
Please use the DiSCO service request form in the IT Ticketing system for either a consultation, or to submit a file for 3D printing, request a reservation for space or special equipment.
