What is a data dictionary?

Data Dictionary is a way to track datasets, research information, or databases that are important to the project. It can also be used to track equipment and other resources that were required for the project to be completed or duplicated.


Why should we use a Data Dictionary?

Data Dictionaries can be a good way to track project information to maintain consistency and data quality. Information that is recorded in Data Dictionaries can vary by project, process, or industry. The information should be specific to that particular research and be recorded in a way that makes the most sense to that project. 

Data Dictionaries also make it easier to reproduce the research and increase the sustainability of the project.
