Political Science 370: Courageous Resistance

From Swarthmore College, the Global Nonviolent Action Database researches nonviolent actions around the world and makes data and narratives of nonviolent campaigns open available to researchers and the public.

The Minorities at Risk (MAR) Project is a university-based research project that monitors and analyzes the status and conflicts of politically-active communal groups in all countries with a current population of at least 500,000.

The Nonviolent and Violent Campaigns and Outcomes (NAVCO) Data Project is a multi-level data collection effort that catalogues major nonviolent and violent resistance campaigns around the globe from 1900-2011.

"The International Crisis Behavior Project (ICB) gathers and analyzes data on international crises and crisis actors since the end of the First World War. The ICB Version 11 datasets are now available. With the addition of 15 crises between 2008 and 2013, the ICB data now cover 1918 to 2013. This consists of 470 crises and 1,036 crisis actors."

The International Center on Nonviolent Conflict develops and disseminates knowledge related to nonviolent conflict and its practice throughout the world. The website includes news items and summaries of nonviolent conflicts.
