Easy ArcGIS Pro Tutorials

Looking for some fun, easy tutorials to practice design in ArcGIS Pro? Check out John Nelson maps!

Some of the tutorials are a little more complex than others - but all of the steps are shown on how to setup the maps. The videos are easy to pause and rewind.

I need help! Who do I contact?

For any tech issues while working on projects feel free to contact Sara Lynnore (sara@stolaf.ed) directly. My working hours are:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm
  • Friday (remote): 8am - 5pm

I typically do not work on the weekends or after 5pm - but I will usually follow up my next working day! To book an appointment, contact me by email and we can work something out - my schedule can sometimes be different every week.

If I am out of the office, send in a Software Issue ticket to the IT Helpdesk.

Accessing ArcGIS Pro

For accessing ArcGIS Pro while the academic buildings are open:

  • RNS 400 - if the door is locked during building hours, I would recommend stopping by the Biology Department (RNS 260) to see if they have a key. Sometimes Facilities can also unlock the door.
  • DiSCO - all of the Windows machines have ArcGIS Pro installed

For accessing ArcGIS Pro after hours:

  • DiSCO - The computers in the DiSCO are available until Rolvaag Memorial Library is closed (12am)

DiSCO is typically staffed:

  • Monday - Thursday: 9am - 9pm
  • Friday: 9am - 5pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 12pm - 9pm

Even if the DiSCO is not staffed, you can still work in the DiSCO Computers (Rolvaag is open until 12am) - however the spaces (The Set, AVs rooms, classroom) are locked at 9pm. Computers in the main area of the DiSCO are still available.
