- Plug the USB cable on your laptop or computer and connect the other end of the cable to the back of the microphone
- If your device is not USB compatible, the library has USB - Type C adaptors available
- Make sure the BLUE logo is facing the source of sound
- The red indicator light will turn on when the microphone is ready
Sound Pickup Pattern Settings
- There are three different settings on the microphone (1, 2, 3)
- 1 is best for recording speech from a single source (the front of the mic)
- 2 is best for recording louder sounds like live music
- 3 is omnidirectional which captures audio from both sides of the microphone
Recording Sound
- Make sure that the red indicator light is on and the microphone is facing the source of sound
- Go to the audio settings on your device and ensure that the Blue Snowball is selected as the input device
- It is recommended to position the microphone 6-8 inches away from your mouth
Why would anyone choose this microphone over other ones?
The microphone has a built-in stand and delivers crisp audio for a cardioid polar recording pattern in a small and lightweight package.
