St. Olaf Equipment Reservation Information

This guide shows users how to make and edit reservations 

  • Use the menu on the left to tutorials on how to use any equipment. Each tutorial page includes images of all the items that are included with the kit (if applicable), and instructions on how to use the items
  • At this time not all equipment has a tutorial. We are working on getting the larger kits done first, as we work on finishing up all the tutorials.
  • Instructions on how to make or edit a reservation are found below.

Creating a reservation

  1. Go to stolaf.webcheckout.net/sso/patron
  2. Click on Reserve or New Reservation on the left pane
    1. Click the Reserve or New Reservation icons
  3. In the pop-up select which center you want to reserve from 
    1. For library loaner equipment select Rolvaag Library Equipment
    2. For reservable spaces within the libraries select Library Spaces
  4.  Set the date and time that you want to pick up the equipment and return it, and confirm your selection by clicking the green checkmarks next to them
    1. Laptops and iPads need to be reserved at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance and can be reserved for up to a semester if there are no scheduling conflicts
    2. All other equipment must be reserved at least three (3) hours in advance, and has a maximum loan period of three (3) days, with the ability to renew the loan for an additional three (3) days if the equipment is not reserved by another patron
  5. Check the checkbox agreeing to the terms and conditions
  6. To add items to your reservation click on the book icon in the middle
  7. Find the item type you want to add (if you know the name of it you can use the search function at the top) to your cart and click into the item record. More information about the loan terms and details about the item can be found here
  8. Add the item to your cart by doing one of the following 
    1. Select the green plus icon at the top (this will add any available item into your cart)
    2. Select a specific item you want by clicking the green cart icon by the item
  9. Repeat steps 6-7 to add additional items to your reservation
  10. Click Return to Reservation or the X in the upper right corner to exit the selection screen 
  11. If the bar at the top of the reservation is green you are all set and can click the Save icon in the upper right corner
  12. If the bar at the top is red there is something that you have to fix in the reservation 
    1. Click the down arrow next to Reservation has errors for more information, and how you can resolve any issue.
    2. Once your issue is solved the bar at the top will turn green, and you can save the reservation
  13. You will receive an email confirmation when the reservation is successfully saved. If you are sure you saved your reservation but did not receive an email check your spam folder. If you did not receive any email your reservation did not save.

Editing a reservation

While edits (including changing the pick up or due dates, and adding or removing items) to a reservation can be made any time before it is picked up we ask that you please do not make edits less than three (3) hours before you are scheduled to pick it up to give us time to prepare the reservation. 

  1. Go to stolaf.webcheckout.net/sso/patron
  2. Under the View category select Upcoming Reservations
  3. Select the reservation you want to edit
  4. On the left side of the screen select the Edit CK-(number of the allocation)
  5. Make your changes 
  6. Confirm your date changes with the green checkmarks next to the date field
  7. Save your reservation
