iPad (8th Gen) & Apple Pencil
Set Up
- You may use your personal Apple account, just make sure you logout of your account before checking in.
- Go to settings
- Tap Apple Account
- Tap one of the following:
- Use another apple device: Bring your other iPhone or iPad nearby, then follow the onscreen instructions
- Sign in manually: enter your email address or phone number, then enter your password. If you don’t have an Apple Account, you can create one.
- If you protect your account with two-factor authentication, enter the six-digit verification code.
Pair and Charge Apple Pencil
- Remove the cap and plug the Apple Pencil into the lighting connector on your iPad.
- Do any of the following:
- Pair Apple Pencil: When the Pair button appears, tap it. After you pair the Apple Pencil, unplug it from the iPad. Apple Pencil stays paired until you restart your iPad, turn off Bluetooth.
- Charge Apple Pencil: Apple Pencil charges while it's plugged into your iPad. If your pencil came with an Apple Pencil charging Adapter, you can also charge it using the lighting cable and power adapter that came with your iPad.
Check the battery level of Apple Pencil
- Check the Batteries widget
- Go to Setting > Apple Pencil
