GoPro Hero 8 Instructions
- Turning On/Off
- Locate the Mode Button (down facing arrow above 'mode'). Short press to turn on, long press to turn off.
- Battery Charging
- Open the tab on the side of the GoPro down and push the small lever piece gently in a backward motion.
- Start Recording
- Once you've selected the record mode, press the shutter button (aka the red circle button). To stop recording, press the shutter button once more.
- Export Media
- Two Options
- Download the GoPro app. Follow the instructions provided by the app to easily export media from the GoPro.
- SD card transferral: First, remove the microSD card from the GoPro by popping off the tab on the side of the camera. Insert microSD into an SD card reader/adapter; connect the reader/adapter into your computer. Second, access the device file in your computer and copy whatever files you'd like.
- Two Options
- Format/Erase SD Card
- Turn your GoPro on. Slide down from the top to bottom with a finger motion. Select 'preferences.' Scroll down and click on the 'RESET' option and opt for the 'Format SD Card choice' and select 'Format.'

- Waterproof ONLY to 10 m/33ft. Ensure casing is properly placed on the GoPro.
