Tiffen 82mm Variable Neutral Density Filter
Features
- Reduces the amount of light going through the lens into your camera
- Typically used in environments with bright sunlight
- Allows the use of slow shutter speeds
- Gives full control over your depth of field
- Allows continuous control over the amount of light coming through your lens in an approximate range of 2 (ND 0.6) to 8 (ND 2.4)
- Enables you to create unique and artistic effects, like blurring moving water or capturing the movement of clouds
How to Use
- Mount the filter to the front of your lens by screwing it on, then set it to the "MIN" lightest density
- Higher numbers means more light reduction
- Reset the ISO to the lowest setting, especially if you are trying to achieve image blur
- With the ring set to the MIN density setting, focus your image, then turn off your Auto Focus and set to full manual mode
- Play around with the filter and take a few test shots to achieve your desired effect
