Set up

Connect your PS4 to your TV, connect your controller, and set up your internet connection. You can also create a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, which gives you an online ID and access to online services. 

Play games

You can play games on your PS4 by inserting a disc into the disc slot on the front of your console, or by downloading games from the PlayStation Store. 

Share your gameplay

You can use the SHARE button on your controller to upload screenshots and videos to social media, or to let a friend play your game via PS4 Share Play. 

Connect with friends

You can add friends on PSN to chat with, play with, and see what they're up to. 

Charge your controller

You can charge your controller using a USB cable while your PS4 is on or in rest mode. 

Return to the home screen

You can press the (PS) button to return to the home screen without ending a game. 

End a game

You can press and hold the (PS) button, and then select Close Application from the quick menu. 

Eject a disc

You can press the (eject) button to eject a disc.
