Features
- Built-in pop and wind filter minimizes breath and plosive sounds
- Isolates your voice and reduces background noise
- Ideal for live vocals, speeches, and studio recording
- Does not come with an XLR cable
Set-Up
- Connecting to PA System, Mixer or Audio Interface
- Plug one end of an XLR cable into the port at the base of the microphone
- Connect the other end of the XLR cable to your mixer, audio interface, or PA system input
- Slowly increase the gain on your device until your voice sounds clear without distortion
- You do not need phantom power
- Mic Positioning and Usage
- Hold or mount the SM58 on a microphone stand using the included clip
- Position the mic about 2-3 inches from your mouth
- Keep speakers and monitors in front of the mic to prevent feedback
- For stage use, point the rear of the mic toward monitors to maximize feedback rejection
